Texas has a 10% cap on annual appraisal increases for residential homesteads – True or False?

It’s true or so they say…whose they?

This is an issue for the 81st Texas Legislature to discuss on January 13, 2009 when they convene.  They are fighting for you and me – private property owners and real estate professional across the state.

Then why do I find appraisals way over the limit for the past few years, anyone know?

BTW, this is a mild example – guess it’s why the issue of uniform appraisals is on the docket too.  Based on the lack of standard and uniform tax appraisals and lack of enforcement from the state.

Now that I believe…authority needs to be given to the state, I vote yes! If my vote counts…
